California Students Needed for the APTA House of Delegates
Every June, CPTA supports sending three students to the annual APTA House of Delegates meeting. CPTA provides funding for participation in the HOD up to $1,000 each, which generally covers airfare and hotel. CPTA is searching for any PT or PTA students who may be interested in serving the student body of California in this capacity. Please be sure to watch for Student PT Notes in February each year for the deadline and requirements for these positions.
Become a PAC CUB
The CAL-PT-PAC Cub or "PAC CUB" is a program the CAL-PT-PAC started that allows you as a student to be recognized for your contributions to the CAL-PT-PAC. Show your professors, classmates and clinical instructors that you are aware and concerned about political issues that involve physical therapy. You can learn more about becoming a PAC CUB or donate a mere $20 to qualify! Contact Albert Parnell for additional information!
Do you want to organize a fundraiser for the CAL-PT-PAC? Fundraisers are an excellent way to contribute to the CAL-PT-PAC. For more information about organizing a student fundraiser for the CAL-PT-PAC, contact Albert Parnell.
Video Contest for Students
CPTA is challenging all student members to develop a professional video presentation for consumers from one of three MoveCalifornia presentations. The winner will receive $300. The video will be used to create public awareness of physical therapy. CPTA will add the winning video to the MoveCalifornia website and could distribute it on you tube. Contact Heather Pino with any questions.
